We interrupt my usual desultory half-dreaming update schedule to bring you breaking news (and if you broke it, you have to pay):

I'M AN UNCLE AGAIN! W00T!!!11

Adam Patrick Loomis was born last night or this morning to my brother and sister-in-law in Maryland. Mother and baby are doing fine, as is newly minted older brother Drew Michael (who turns Terrible Two next month). My kindly gray-haired mother heads down to Maryland later today to help the new parents around the house, just as she did when "Mister Drew" (as he's affectionately called) came on the scene.

And speaking of birthdays, I was supposed to post on mine (the 25th). I got an unwitting present from the WDF, and a number of witting ones from the 'rents (a bright red fleece jacket, a PBS coffin with way-kewl artwork, a copy of Powers: Who Killed Retro Girl?, and a promissory note for the DVD release of Year Two.) Does any of that mess with your mental picture of me at all? How about this?
